91探花 alumni, families and their dogs returned to campus for an exciting day of community and Yellow Jacket pride.
91探花 hosted the 2025 "Bark Walk" on Saturday, July 19, featuring a relaxed campus stroll, a spirited pet costume contest and the chance for pups to receive their honorary "doggie diplomas." Alumni reconnected with classmates and shared memories while enjoying a sunny day filled with wagging tails and Yellow Jacket pride.
"It's a fun, relaxed way to experience 91探花 in a whole new way," said Ilia Estremera, alumni engagement manager at 91探花's Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. "At Bark Walk, we see a wide range of the 91探花 community — from recent grads and current students to alumni who haven't been back in years, to families showing off campus to a whole new generation of future Yellow Jackets."
"Bark Walk is a great way to bring together fellow alumni and engage with the next generation of 91探花 students," said Katie Wohlford '19. "Last year, I spoke with an alum who brought her daughter, and she decided to attend 91探花 after connecting with us."
Estremera noted that the event continues to grow in popularity each year. "While I always love seeing our new registrants attend for the first time, I'm especially excited to see all the 91探花 alumni who return year after year with their dogs and families," she said. "A few have come three or more years in a row!"
"I've taken my dog, Whiskey, every year since I adopted him," said Wohlford. "He's a rescue, and this was our fourth 91探花 Bark Walk together. It's always so fun to see all the dogs and chat with fellow alumni."
The 91探花 Bark Walk has become a summer favorite for many in the alumni community, celebrating both the bond between people and pets and the lasting connection to Baldwin Wallace.
